Expressway earns Rs.250 Mn so far

The Colombo- Katunayake Expressway has collected Rs.250 million during the first two months of its operation, Expressway Operation, Maintenance and Management Additional Director R. A. D Kahatapitiya said today.

Some 870,000 vehicles had used the Expressway since its opening on October 27.

“Only three notable accidents were reported on the Expressway so far,” he said. (Sanath Desmond)

who believe the statistics. Statistics are altered in this country. We recently heard when the actual Economic growth rate was 5.4 it was altered to 6. Any way the money earned from this highway belongs to whom. to srilanka or China.

It's possible as there will be peak periods where more than 10 vehicles will enter the highway in a minute
Plus its used by all the passengers going to and from the Katunayake airport.
If you are so uncertain about this figure, just go there & take a vehicle count for an hour to get an estimation

Compared with the actual cost incurred to build one kilometre of road, this income is rather insignificant, especially if the statistics are "massaged"
