Traffic congestion on Katunayake Expressway

Traffic congestion was reported on the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway because of the ongoing construction work of the new Kelani Bridge, Police said.

They said the work would go until October 10.

Did the authorities not foresee this situation? Why the heck didn't they close the expressway until it was clear to reopen ?

Before that USLESS MAHINDA we could travel for hours with traffic on the old katuniyaka road. Invane we allowed him to develop highways for us to use. He also should have just stolen money from only central bank and pretrend nothing happened
