Three-member Election Committee appointed to elect new office bearers

It is meaningless to conduct an election of SLC Office Bearers under the current Constitution which is completely flawed. SLC has granted 22 clubs First Class status and they do not deserve to be in even at 4th Class level. This increase of Frist Class Teams has led to lowering of standard of domestic cricket resulting inferior performance by SL Cricket Team at international level. These clubs will vote for their survival at First Class level thereby ensuring election of a corrupt and inept Executive Committee. Before the election is held, the Constitution must be revised, and the number of First Class Teams must be reduced to no more than 8. Appointing Retired High Court Judges and a Senior Public Official to the Election Committee is not sufficient to whitewash the flawed election process.

Crazy. The election commission is appointed by the same set of people who are going to contest the election. This happens only in SL.

The monitoring of entire election process of SLC must be given to CID to expose the vote buying, vote rigging by non existing or non performing cricket clubs who are in the system just to keep the present set of people in the office.

The 3 persons elected to the Committee to conduct this election have been chosen by the same people who would stand in the election. After seeing the above comments, if these 3 members have any self-respect, they would resign from this committee immediately.
