That's stating the obvious, isn't it? Never talk about the need to eliminate corruption, do ya? Reduce the defence expenditure if ya actually want to do some good for the economy.

This is the policy that Srima used to follow...She was very much strict on this matter.. But we have failed to maintain that now ...I can narrate many events from the past. she used to maintain a balanced foreign policy ( Non-alliance policy ) for instance during Bangladesh freedom war Pakistan wanted to refuel in Colombo for its airforce.and asked permission to do so in Colombo...Srima gave permission to do this without angering India...we shouldn't anger neither India nor china ..even no any country... Buddhism is all about peace and harmony.. don't create any problems with India or China..we can't be sandwiched between these two Asian giants..we must be wiser enough and smarter enough to protect our tiny island and it's integrity and it's people from any outside influences of any kind ..so we shouldn't create foes at all..our country needs support of all nations; our communities and all people around the world ..this culture of co-existence has been here for many centuries.

Are the foreign cadets from Burundi or Sudan, or who else sends its soldiers to a military academy that isn't even listed in an international ranking? And why are the Sri Lankan UN soldiers in Mali only used for logistics? Because they are classified as cowards by the fighting troops of the countries involved. Furthermore, Sri Lanka only sends soldiers to UN operations as it is a good deal for the government to bring in dollars. The soldiers of other countries get the foreign allowance in addition to their pay. Sri Lankan soldiers are paid only a fraction of what the UN pays.

There is zero internal threat but there are external threat primarily from India. Our fighting model should be based on Ukraine with weapons and logistical support from China.

To deal with countries you as President should be a leader with good standings but you get a minus in that respect. The Tri forces and the Police have to go after you even if you go one meter in a public place. Wastage of Billions of Rupees for one mans protection. Is this the example of a leader to show other countries. First you try to be real. We know you don’t understand the word real.

@Sureshe/, why you bring in India , this is Sri Lanka and DM is a Sri Lankan paper. DM will decide according to Sri Lankan interest. If you are a Sri Lankan with more love for India then you must be the Sri Lankan making so much money selling organs from India . As mentioned in the DM earlier there are Sri Lankans in Saudi and Canada involved with Indian criminal gangs smuggling and distributing human organs. It is very likely you are one of them.
