Hospitality and friendliness were the hallmarks of all Sri Lankans of the past but now they have been scarred by the destroying of their livelihoods trying to eke out a living by the present day politicians as a high percentage go on empty stomachs with no vision for the future leave alone friendliness and statistics

This is because tourists only superficially get to know Sri Lanka in 14 days. In this short time they fail to see the true characteristics of many Sri Lankans that are out there: Curiosity, Jealousy, Insidious, Lying, Greed, Deceitful, Corrupt, Thieving, Cowardice, Violent, Misogynous, and others.

It is a miracle Sri Lanka was able to maintain it’s “friendly and easy going character” despite being ruled by European Occupiers for 450 years.

People here are like the animals in the Dehiwala zoo. Trapped without freedom, and like those beaten/trained animal shows at the zoo, public is brain-washed/trained for generations to be subservient to foreigner. Ayubowan, Ayubowan to them. Truly it is unethical for tourist to come visit country which maltreats its citizens with excessive force.
