A speeding car skidded off the road and overturned near Visakha Vidyalaya on Vajira Road in Colombo last evening causing damages to more than 12 vehicles including 9 cars and two three wheelers.
Police said a cab was also damaged in the accident. They said the vehicles were parked near the school as the O\L examination was underway.
Investigation revealed the accident took place as the driver had lost control of the vehicle. Police also ruled out rumors that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
Two persons including the driver were inside the car at the time of the accident and the driver was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.
The Bambalapitiya Police are investigating the incident.

Please check for the contents of the fuel. Adding a little bit old lable to increase the octane number could be the cause.

The driver walked away unhurt.. the bystanders lost a valuable opportunity to administer street justice.. even the car was unburnt! A very lucky devil..

Very fishy, The car would have come at high speed from galle road along vajira road and would have tried to cross duplication road into land side of vajira road which is prohibited and lost control. It took a long time for cops to appear.
