Social media activist Dilan Senanayake has been hospitalised after being attacked by two people with a sharp weapon.
Police said that the injured activist was admitted to the Colombo South Teaching Hospital after he had sustained injuries to his leg and shoulder. It was reported that he is out of danger.
Police said the activist was attacked near a studio along Pagoda Road in Nugegoda.
The Mirihana Police have launched an investigation into the incident. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)

May be a purely personal affair, or may be a staged act to get attention from international community or may be a self planned act to get into the news. I don't buy that he was attacked for his social media activities. Worst case ,I could even be female related issue.
