Seven ex-LTTE members imprisoned for many years are to be released following Presidential Pardon in line with Poson Poya, State Minister of Prison Management & Prisoners' Rehabilitation Lohan Ratwate said.

How were these selected? Was one of them a prisoner with whom Namal Rajapakse has said he shared a cell or met him while he himself was in prison and for whom he built a house in the Vanni? Political favoritism to political prisoners at work, Sri Lanka style?
