The Department of Prisons has decided to transfer two Superintendent of Prisons and nine Assistant Superintendents of Prisons with effect from September 1 due to service requirements.
Accordingly, Superintendent of Prisons S.K Palletenna of Angunakolapelessa Prison has been transferred to the Prison Training School in Welikada. Mahara Prison Superintendent R. Prasad Hemantha Kumara has been transferred to the prison headquarters.
Assistant Superintendent of Prisons D.R.D Dasanayake has been transferred from Kuruwita Prison to Angunakolapelessa Prison while Assistant Superintendent of the Negombo Prison A.C Gajanayake has been transferred to the Mahara Prison.
Assistant Superintendent of Pallansena Prison W.M.J.I Fernando has been transferred to the Negombo Prison from Palansena Prison while S.A.S.I.P Perera has been transferred to the Ambepussa Prison from Matara.
Assistant Superintendent of the Ambepussa Prison H.G Saman Priyadarshana has been transferred to the Matara Prison and Magazine Prison Assistant Superintendent H.M.S.N Upuldeniya has been transferred to Pallansena Prison.
Jaffna Prison Assistant Superintendent Mohan Karunaratne has been transferred to Kuruwita Prison while Assistant Superintendent of the Mahara Prison Udaya Kumara has been transferred to the Jaffna Prison.
Assistant Superintendent of Colombo Remand Prison Vajira Abeydheera has been transferred to Mahara Prison.(DSB)
