Such a horrible tragedy. Can't say where all these investigations will end up but I pray God will expose the criminals. The Schaffters are a family with honesty and integrity. You can no longer find such character and class in Sri Lanka.

The optics are clear! The “CID Boys” (not my words) interviewed Samarawickrame because the investigative journalist is ahead of the game. He knows more than the CID! This is not like CIA or MI5 wanting to talk to Peter Bergen who interviewed Bin Landen. Everyone Rathnayake interviewed, CID had access to. So what is there to ask the journalists? And Rathnayake interviewed them on the the same day after the murder. Did our “CID boys” miss that? Because they are incompetent? Stupid? Lazy? Either they are learning from Samarawickrame/Rathnayake or trying to muffle them not to disclose their findings. Rathnayake in the YouTube says a few times, “even monkeys fall from the trees”. Metaphor being even the mighty can make mistakes. Hope the cover up morons in the judiciary “fall off the trees”! Something tells the outcome of this murder will be just as that of ”Lasantha, Raviraj, Thajudeen, Kumar Ponnambalam, Keith Nohayr”…investigations are continuing…for decades!

This is State Terrorism executed by powerful State entities in full impunity and arrogance similar to the way Lasantha, Keith Nohayr, Kumar Ponnambalam, Raviraj, Thajudeen, Ekneligoda and many many others were executed. All of these perpetrators are live and holding powerful posts, so CID cannot do anything absolutely but only make noise.

Hit job , done by politicians. Shafter gave money to some one to invest, investment was for election and buying politicians. He wanted the money back,?, politicians got him murdered. He didn’t know the money is for election, he thought it was investment. It’s like Easter attack: Gota, thajudeen: Gota, lasantha: Gota, this one looks like another Rajapaksa: they kill for money,

So every time the CID interviews a person they hope to make a press release? Please wait till investigations are complete and make an arrest, otherwise resign and find another job. This is what elitism does for Sri Lanka. It creates a law for the ordinary citizen and places the 'elite' above the law.

That interview gives real situation of the country if former Air Force chief and kill people and taken his property with support of the Supreme Court chief justices ,this is a real toilet place who like to do business or even visit as tourist it is now really dirty toilet
