SL envoy woos Chinese investment in solar, wind energy

We should now minimize Chinese and Indian influence in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka has become a fighting ground for Chinese/Indian geopolitics and this can have serious effects on our own security for Sri Lankans.

India, took over the opportunity for renewable project which was awarded to China company last time in North West. Anything in the North, if India can't win by tender, they will use any other hook or crook to get, probably at worse value for us. However, having China interested after cutting the previously signed agreement/contract would be amazing. Even if one China project works, India will be desperate to do at least two more to show for their ego. Therefore we must even as token get China to invest in project successfully, so then we can have avalanche of India investment come through.

China pretends to be a good friend of Srilanka. But the certain projects which were commenced under Chinese aids are futile so far Therefore we cannot further relay on China.We can trust our adjoining India rather than China

This fellow is another boot licker of China. First find out from rest of the world who can do it best. Holland and India are leading in Solar and wind power. Look into the installations in western countries. Speak and seek advice from them.

China although, still strong with new coal plant, and now even more nuclear as much capability with solar and wind. A 100 million dollar investment project would surely help improve our grid. We can ask them for reliability guarantees which can't be had from small projects, and also CEB can negotiate better wholesale price because cost per unit to make better the bigger the project. China stop co-operating with US on climate change and matters to do with clean energy so our US envoy should approach them for the same as our China envoy. But 100 million dollar sized projects only.
