The public has been requested to hand over to the Presidential Secretariat the Coats of Arms with archaeological or artistic value that belonged to Sri Lanka's former Governors and Presidents, which went missing during the Aragalaya, before July 31 or face legal consequences.
The Presidential Secretariat said during the forcible occupation of the President's House in Colombo Fort by protesters from July 09 to July 14, 2022, various valuable artifacts and archaeological items went missing, including coats of arms associated with former Governors and Presidents of Sri Lanka.
President's Secretary Saman Ekanayake has emphasized that retaining possession of these official insignia beyond the specified period will result in legal consequences, as the unlawful possession of state property is a punishable offence.
"If anyone has information pertaining to these missing items, the President's Secretary kindly requests that the Presidential Secretariat be contacted via telephone number 0112354354. Public assistance is crucial in locating these coats of arms of significant national importance and their assistance is deeply appreciated,” the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.

What a law enforcement in our Paradise Island??. Only running behind Arangalaya (to ensure no-one will dare to protest against the corrupt politicians in future and they are dead scared, believe it), but the law enforcement does not have the guts to get the political/state official who destroyed the economy to the point of no return. This is the state of affairs in Sri Lanka and no wonder not only the Professionals but a ll others are trying to run away from the country. At this point, even God cannot save the country.

What a stupid reply!. These people who looted State property are no better than the corrupt politicians! If the ones who manipulated Aragalaya had taken over the country we would have seen a far worse disaster than caused by those politicians if stealing and destroying State property is the Aragalaya style of taking control.

Why is this late call for return. It is to see that Aragalaya will not raise its head again. The authorities are sadly mistaken. Next Aragalaya will not be in Colombo but very likely all island where local Police unlikely to have strength to suppress

The Police is in a funny situation. They do not know who removed it and assume that the protestors took it away. What if the occupant himself or his staff had taken it away, as a souvenir after living in the mansion? There are people who keep mementos from world war I and II! They bring back sweet memories!

So called Aragalaya guys are no better than the current set of looters in the Parliament. The Aragalaya guys may have sold these antiques to their masters abroad. If they come to power, they will loot everything including the bricks of all government buildings. Since the people are corrupt, there is currently no hope for this country's future. Whoever who comes does the sane thing.
