Violence is not a solution to solve any problem.

The brainless Sri Lankans must finally leave behind their archaic thinking and realize that a 19-year-old is a grown woman whose affairs should not be interfered with by idiot family members. I hope everyone involved gets life imprisonment with no prospect of early release.

This punishment was normal in Europe in the year 1167. We developed since then.

Two consenting adults with no laws broken. No one has any right to interfere and take the law into their own hands. Sadly, this is our own primitive way of thinking and solving issues!!

These relatives must be expecting this 19-year-old girl to be exported as a virgin to another relative in Europe for wedlock. Usually, Jappna people export their daughters to Europe maapillai.

This is for the commentator called European. Nothing has change in Europe. They do the same deed in more sophisticated manner by giving contracts to kill. Don't you know that Mafias are still exist in Europe? Europeans have Homicide Detectives and Sri Lanakan officers are trained there.

Many politicians do the same - they are well and safe with public security! Why that innocent man?

Sri Lankan style punishment. Don’t ask questions, on the spot assassinations, just like in ancient times.

@Andrew Silva : In this regard the woman should also supposed to be punished rigorously, they need to protect their daughter but kills ones husband and father.
