President’s Secretary Saman Ekanayake had informed the Secretary Ports and Aviation Ministry to hold an inquiry and punish those who are responsible for keeping Venerable Ajan Brahim Thera for 12 hours.
Ekanayake said he had taken this decision following the advice of President Ranil Wickremesinghe. The President had wanted action taken against those who are responsible for the drama. The President’s secretary said he express his regrets over the incident.(Yohan Perera)

We must also punish all countries and institutions that are delaying or denying us free food, medicines and US dollars

Each and every time I pass Katunayake Airport, I am harassed in one form or another. The Check-in is slow or not enough counters open and staff are absolutely lethargic. We have nobody to complain and this keeps on happening repeatedly.

It was you , your excellency who intervened appointed a bunch of Yes men and cleared Nimal Siripala of all corruption allegations involving a Japanese company. No you want your Secretary to action against the very minister who you gently protected. You might continue to deceive the masses by scripts, but your excellency there is also the masses who are well aware of your scripts from a long time.

Ranil cannot do anything. The power is with Ali Baba and 40 thieves. Ali Baba has sycophant's of the Armed Forces on their side who will do any pimp contract. Unfortunately this is the present day Sri Lanka of Ali Baba's, Sycophants, Pimps running the country.

Persons responsible as reported are either the PM Dinesh or Minister Siripala. Let us see if they would be punished

The hold up delay that caused inconvenience to Thera is a good advertisement to attract tourists

A monk who has denounced all worldly desires will not be troubled by such petty matters, hence it is not an issue at all.

Monks are not above other, they are ordinary humans as we all.. no exceptional. Religion is personal think, people can choose whatever religion they like as per their wish. One must study and evaluate religions then only they can make right choice. There is only one truth and one God, we all are accountable to God only.

First, the President should punish Nimal Siripala by removing him from his Ministership.

Do we have a legally elected president in SL? The problem is there!!
Percy Wijenayake Saturday, 03 June 2023 05:49 PM
You will appreciate Ven.Ajahn Brahmawansa if you only visit his Monastery in Perth. He is no comparison to some of the Sri Lankan Buddhist monks. Nimal Siripala, must apologize for having used his ministerial powers.
