President tables IMF agreement in Parliament

President Ranil Wickremesinghe tabled the IMF agreement in Parliament, a short while ago.

The President also made the official announcement of receiving the IMF extended fund facility in Parliament.

He said in terms of the Foreign Loans Act, the finance ministry secretary was granted special permission to sign the necessary agreements with regard to the IMF Fund facility. (Ajith Siriwardana)

When will final IMF agreement be known about Wednesday, 22 March 2023 10:31 AM

What is mentioned is only the staff level agreement. Only about two days ago State Finance Minister Semasinghe said "It is the final agreement approved by the IMF Board which is tabled in Parliament, and not the staff level agreement. That is the accepted norm," What is going on?
