All these committees and advisors who are appointed does not understand the ground level of the country and utter like parrots what comes to their mouths. The best example was the advisor on food safety who said there was no shortage of food in this country.

Mr. President, rather than appointing dam committees it's better to arrange importing essential food stuffs, milk food and medicines with immediate effect and bring down the Cost of living without taxing the masses.

Improving the bottlenecks of the supply chain is the correct decision but now the predominant factor is containing the runaway inflation so that basic essentials are available at reasonable prices without overlooking the poor at the bottom level as people having funds will only benefit from an improved availability of consumer goods whilst others will be able to see and touch the items and walk away

It is easy for President to appoint committees. The issue here is the committee members being paid out of Public purse. Why not appoint the Secretaries of the relevant Ministries to provide reports about the needs and then prune them on the necessity and availability of forex

Mr President don't you know that the nation is starving? Even if essential items are made available, people cannot afford to buy those. Can you not understand this simple logic? Bring the prices down immediately. This is NOT the time to introduce various taxes either. Just today Daily Mirror reported "India to witness the highest salary hike in 2023 and Sri Lanka the lowest in the WORLD". What does this tell you??
