Sri Lankan veteran baila singer Nihal Nelson passed away this morning at the age of 76 (1946 -2022), President of Sri Lanka Singers’ Association Keerthi Pasquel said.
He said that Nelson died this morning at home in Moratuwa, and funeral arrangements would be announced later.
He said that Nelson was suffering from a brief illness and died while receiving medications at home.

Late Mr. Nihal Nelson entertained the Sri Lankans living in and outside Sri Lanka. He is a legend and ICONIC in his musical career for 60 years. No one can replace him ever. May attain Nibbana. Farewell, my friend. Our condolence to his family.
