This kind of thing CANNOT BE TOLERATED. People are going mad. The punishment is not enough. President, please bring very stringent law against this kind of act.

Today due to the economic situation in the country the citizens are depressed and no longer care for their own or others life as there is no prosperous or a happy contented future to look forward to. So the crime rate and robberies are on the increase. Thanks to the corrupt and rogue phottuwa politicos who dragged down this beautiful, peaceful, law abiding country to this level within a short period.

Value of people's lives lost in this thrice blessed country like no other. Voices are raised in chorus whenever animals are harmed or life threatened . No one is apparently interested in doing anything about the human life. The issue could be trivial or serious inevitably invaluable human life is snapped out as the only course available sanctity of life is lost in words

Even the teledramas are showing the killers as heros. So , for even small dispute , the killing has become.the solution. This shows the bad state of law and order in the country.

Three wheels and buses spoiled the road discipline. Third grade films and drama spoiled the social life, including cheap unfiltered internet. Angry. greedy, stupid and notorious religious leaders have spoiled the tolerance and spirituality. Uneducated thuggery criminal politicians spoiled the law and order. Lack of respect and lift of cane from the schools have produced errant youngsters. Sprung of racial minded media are pouring fuel to all.

Please re-introduce the death penalty. Also, if we are genuine in our attempts to restore peaceful living and a crime-free life in Sri Lanka why don't we look at Singapore and their no-nonsense approach to crime? Rapists, pedophiles and murderers are given the punishment they deserve. Rather than getting hot under the collar and overly sanctimonious and righteous about religious beliefs, we should be focussing on safety, decency and justice for victims.
