Long term visa category to attract digital tourists

The cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal to attract digital tourists to the country and to introduce a long term visa category for digital tourists.

Digital travellers often stay in restaurants, public libraries and other such venues and provide their services online through devices with Internet access.

The proposal made by Tourism Minister has said the availability of high speed internet connections for communication, long term visas, affordable accommodation, tax exemption for earnings etc. are the main factors to attract them.

Attracting digital tourists to Sri Lanka and providing them with the facilities they need to stay longer, the country will be able to earn more foreign exchange.

Dual nationals of India; Bangladesh; Pakistan and many other counties have better facilities than Sri Lankan dual citizens. Indians alone bring 70b dollars in foreign currency ..but our country does not know how to make use of its own nationals who live in abroad . Make simple system to give dual citizenship for all Sri Lankans who live abroad . Scrap those fees and let all Sri Lankans who ate foreign nationals to come to back to the country. Create a viable system so that all Sri Lankan origins of foreign nationals can come with their skills to build this nation. Stop bribe taking in immigration and passport department to give dual citizenship certificate. Facilitate arrivals of Sri Lankan academics from foreign countries to work in national universities . If you want to increase revenue from Sri Lankans who live abroad do some possible things You have never treated them well.. despite the fact they have been a backbone of our economy .

If the racket in the Visa immigration office continue to bribe every foreigner ask a long term visa (basically the source of foreigner currency) SL will be a dead country.
