Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe arrives in SL to take up CBSL Governor post

Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, who is to be appointed as the next Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, has arrived in the country from Australia this evening.

Weerasinghe was in Australia on a personal visit and had returned to the country to take up the post of CBSL Governor, following an invitation by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Dr. Weerasinghe is likely assume duties as the new Central Bank governor tomorrow.
