The discussion on the electricity bill between the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) and the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) ended without agreement, the National Council said today.
The Speaker of the Council said a decision is expected tomorrow (15), as mentioned in the previous agreement.
The officials representing the PUCSL and the CEB informed that they had met and taken the matter into discussion last afternoon. The officers informed the National Council that they could not reach a final decision regarding the matter.
Later, PUCSL officials said that the commission would meet today to discuss the matter and take a final decision.
The National Council meeting was held today (14) under the patronage of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana and Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena.
