Disciplinary action against Excise officials involved in brawl at One Galle Face

Disciplinary action will be taken against the Excise Department officials involved in an incident of assault at the One Galle Face Mall in Colombo, Excise spokesman Commissioner Kapila Kumarasinghe said. 

According to the Police, the incident had broken out after a heated argument between the Excise officials and the staff of the pizza shop at One Galle Face Mall.

At least two Excise Department officials and one civilian were injured and hospitalized following the incident, Kumarasinghe said. 

"Police are investigating inro the incident while a separate internal investigation has also been launched into the brawl," he added.

    Not surprised. Excise officials are the most corrupt government servants in the country. The whole lot has to be sacked and replaced with transparent process.

    Excise officers are known to eat and drink free of charge from every hotel they visit. They are drunk by 12 or 1 pm.

    The problem in sri Lankan officers that conduct any kind of investigations are bloody unprofessional got no professionalism they a66ct taking the law in to their own hand. when you get to a person who don't tolerate end up in brawl The Government must take responsibility to provide professional training dealing with issues etc...
