Executive Director of the Consumer Affairs Authority Thushan Gunawardane has decided to resign from his post.
He is expected to tender his resignation to State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna next Tuesday.
He said he took this decision owing to the pressure on him on several matters such as influencing him to sign several contract agreements to purchase goods.
