Former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa who was rumored to have left Sri Lanka via the Ratmalana Airport today morning is still in the country and in hospital, after he was infected with the COVID-19 virus, airport sources have confirmed to Daily Mirror.
When Daily Mirror contacted Shehan Sumanasekara, Director of Operations of Airport and Aviation Services, he confirmed that Basil had not left the country through any of the three main airports - BIA, Mattala and Ratmalana, and such rumors were false.
Shehan said that the private jet which had left the Ratmalana Airport today morning was carrying two foreign nationals and crew members and was not transporting the former Finance Minister.
Sources further confirmed that as of now, Basil was at a private hospital in Colombo after he was admitted yesterday with the COVID-19 infection. (Jamila Husain)

I hope all lawyers get together and put a case on the Rajapakshas as they are not allowed to leave the country until all cases are finished against them and they resigns from all power

Isn’t the President immune from prosecution whilst he is in office ? Correct me if I am wrong. However the rest are not immune from the laws of the country and should face justice in an open and fair hearing
