The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Washington DC, has managed to secure a confirmed job order for 550 employment opportunities in the United States of America for Sri Lankans.
While issuing a media release, they said the job order was in association with the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Agency (SLFEA).
Accordingly, 250 registered nurses, 100 lab technicians, and 200 nursing assistants will gain employment in the United States.
Ambassador Mahinda Samarasinghe had reached out to Messrs. Karma Services LLC of Florida and facilitated an agreement between Karma Services and the SLFEA, the media release said.
SLFEA is a wholly state-owned subsidiary of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment and will carry out the recruitment process locally.
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Washington DC, in coordination with the SLFEA, is currently exploring further avenues of securing legal job opportunities for Sri Lankans in the United States.

With 250 Registered Nurses and 200 Nursing Assistants leaving , besides the exodus of Doctors for economic reasons, our Health Services will be the best in the world. More Cemeteries will have to be opened.
