A 30 year-old woman was found hacked to death at a house down Lumbini Avenue off the Maharagama-Piliyandala road this morning, police said.

The woman had been residing in a boarding house with her mother. Police suspect that the murder was committed by her husband, who is reportedly missing. The suspect has not been arrested yet.

Females are being harrassed and abused everywhere because men are raised to think that women are just objects to be used and abused. That they can do anything to a woman and get away with it.... soon you may find sick comments from users doing what many stereotypical sri lankans do - finding blame with the woman

All these stories have two sides, what was done is wrong anyway. doctor going missing, then found. killings... all have two sides. we live in a cruel world anyway. the law or politicos cant stop this.
