A group of about 100 parents of the students of the Defence School were protesting in front of the School in Slave Island against its Principal, the Police said.

Police said the protesters were urging the removal of the Principal. (LSP)

This type of protests should not be allowed. They can make an official complaint to the correct authority.

i was suddenly taken off teaching after 7 1/2 years of teaching here in this school all because im from the military and not from the education.when the government changed...i worked here after asking to join the school .my husband was a war hero and i needed a job for financial reasons. i taught music and after school a class for any grade 1 and 2 student who wanted to learn english. we had good fun cos we did english activities together and the kids had a chance to play the piano even if they didnt really know how to play.this was a good opening to the kids to identify their talent. how come that the Brigadier is at fault.for recent situations instigated by masters and teachers of the school....if you look deeply into this school it has a history of this principal and teachers plus the bhikkus who teach in the school abusing the kids....i know cos i have seen a bhikku with a cane in his hand. and seen the principal slapping a young student four times on his cheeks......

the principal rubs butter on the bread that suits his taste..im out of a job because of him..i was teaching somgomg for seven years in this school to grades one and two students.i think its important that they have music around them ,but the principal and some teachers dont like me cos i speak good english and therefore im not in their favaour.
