The main opposition United National Party (UNP) today accused the government of tormenting the party and said it would boycott the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) entirely.

The UNP had earlier said it would participate at the opening ceremony.

“We have decided to boycott the CHOGM entirely because the Government is using devious methods of harassing the UNP,” General Secretary Tissa Attanayake said a short while ago.
