Two killed, seven injured in Bus-lorry collision

At least two persons were killed and another seven passengers were injured after a bus and a lorry collided head-on at Akurala in Ambalangoda on the Colombo-Galle main road early this morning, the Police said.

They said the bus, traveling from Matara to Colombo, had collided with the lorry.

The driver and his assistant of the lorry had succumbed to their injuries after being admitted to the hospital.

Police said the injured passengers of the bus had been admitted to the Balapitiya Hospital.(DS)
