Two killed in road tragedy at Marawila

Two people were killed in a head-on collision between a three-wheeler and a lorry at Weerahena junction on the Nattandiya-Marawila road this morning, police said.

Marawila police said one of the victims was from Welipannagahamulla in Nattandiya while the other was from Gampola. They died on admission to the Marawila Hospital.

The lorry driver was arrested and the lorry taken into police custody. (ChaturangaPradeep-DM-Online)
