Two killed in an accident



Two of the nine injured people who had been admitted to the Colombo South Teaching Hospital, following a lorry accident on the Bandaragama-Pilliyandala road early today had succumbed to their injuries, Police said.
 
The lorry had skidded off the road at the Kindelpitiya junction on the Bandaragama-Pilliyandala road, in the early hours today.  
 
The lorry, transporting a stock of paddy belonging to the driver, was out of control when the accident took place, according to police.
 
Four persons severely injured are under going treatment in the hospital along with the other injured persons including the lorry driver. 
 
The dead were 34 and 28. The victims are workers of a firm belonging to the lorry driver, Police said.
