Two killed, five injured in accident

Two people were killed and five injured when a three wheeler collided with a jeep at the Ohalpola Junction in Narammala on the Narammala- Kuliyapitiya Road yesterday, the Police said.

The injured were admitted to the Kuliyapitiya hospital. The deceased, aged 90 and 50, were residents of Kirindana and Anukkane.

The driver of the jeep had been arrested and would be produced before Kuliyapitiya Magistrate today, the Police said.(DS)

SRILANKA WILL HAVE TO GO BACK TO BULLOCK CART ERA, THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO PREVENT THIS TYPE OF TRAGEDIES.
