Two people were killed and 10 others were injured following a private bus accident along the Chilaw-Negombo main road this evening, police said.
 
Police said the bus was heading from Chilaw to Negombo and the driver lost control of the bus, skidded off the road and plunged into a jack tree.

The injured were admitted to the Marawila hospital. The driver and a passenger who was at the front of the bus were killed. (CP) (Pix by Jude Samantha)
