Token strike by nurses

Government nurses throughout the island today launched a token strike demanding that the recently introduced recruitment process by the government be withdrawn.

The Government Nursing Officers Association (GNOA) stated the new process not only gave a wide range of powers to the provincial council but also halted nurses from applying for a transfer for ten years. (NH)
