UPFA MP A.H.M. Azwer said the Parliamentary Council would nominate a person for the position of Chief Justice, tomorrow. The nomination would then be sent to the President for ratification.

Speaking to Daily Mirror online, Mr. Azwer, a member of the Parliamentary Council said three names are being currently discussed by the government and a nominee will be selected by this afternoon.

The Parliamentary Council introduced by the 18th Amendment to the Constitution replaced the Constitutional Council. (Rifthi Ali)
