Three arrested with 11kg of gold
Three people were arrested this afternoon in Talaimannar on charges of having 53 gold bars weighing 11 kilograms in their possession.
The Police said they had detected the gold when inspecting a van that was parked under suspicious circumstances. They are carrying out further investigations. (JG)
