Strict legal action would be taken against those who spit betel chew in public places, the Police said.

Police Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said legal action would also be taken against those who release cows into main roads and bathe them along roadsides.

“Washing vehicles, mixing cement and drying paddy along the road are also prohibited under the Police Ordinance,” he said.

Why didnt the Police take any action all this time if these were under Police ordinance. There are instances where large herds of buffalos are blocking some of the main roads making heavy traffic conjunction. via DM iPad app
