The report of the committee appointed to inquire into the complaints against MP Thilanga Supmathipala regarding his candidacy for the Presidency of Sri Lanka Cricket has been handed over to the Attorney General’s Department by the Minister of Sports.

The three member committee headed by the Secretary to the Ministry of Sports handed over the report to Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage this afternoon.

The Minister in turn handed over the report to the Attorney General’s Department for further advice, ministry sources said. ( Hafeel Farisz)

The long and short of it is He cannot contest, You said this in Parliamerent the other day that people with any connection even throgh family in Gambling, Publication , and sales of Sport goods will not be permitted to contest , more over he cannot represent in ICC , according to the code of conduct of ICC. Why all this fuss, He is one who sent a criminal to the World cup in 1999 on SLC money,and sold the complimentary tickets to make money. Do you want him to be the President of SLC

Any bets? The report has recommended that Thilanga be allowed to contest and definitely he is going to the Big Man in SLC. That has been so said and so written by those who have the sole and absolute power to decide and direct.
