‘Thanha Rathi Ranga’ wins best film award in India

Nilendra Deshapriya’s debut movie "Thanha Rathi Ranga” [BETWEEN YESTERDAY & TOMORROW]  clinched the award for the Best Film at the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival in New Delhi a short while ago.

The annual festival, organized to mark the birth anniversary of the 'Father of Indian Cinema,' Dada Saheb Phalke, aims at celebrating the excellence of Indian cinema and cinema around the world.

The ‘Thanha Rathi Ranga’ cast includes Sarath Kothalawala,Kumara Thirimadura,Namal Jayasinghe,Sulochana Weerasinghe,Swarna Mallawarachchi, Anoja Weerasinghe,Nita Fernando,Kamal Addararachchi,Adam Adamally,Dayadewa Edirisinghe,Vishwajith Gunasekara,Wasantha Moragoda,Thumindu Dodanthenna and Priyantha Sirikumara.

Nilendra Deshapriya who received the award in New Delhi will fly to Melbourne where the movie has also been officially selected for screening at the Melbourne Indian Film Festival on May 4. (RU)
