Student’s body found under Gintota Bridge

A body of a 15-year-old student who went missing on Sunday was found under the Gintota Bridge this morning, the Police said.They said the victim was identified as K. Inesh Shrimal from Rupeewala, Boossa and was a grade 10 student in Dewapathiraja Vidyalaya, Rathgama.
The student’s parents had complained to the Rathgama Police station that their son has not come home after attending to a tuition class on Sunday.
During search operation conducted on Monday, the police had found the victim’s school bag, a pair of slippers and a letter addressed to the parents.
The body was handed over to the Karapitiya Hospital for medical examinations. Galle police are investigating. (D.G. Sugathadasa)
