Still unaware of reason behind shooting: Proctor

Police spokesman SSP Maxi Proctor speaking to the Daily Mirror a short while ago said that the police are still not aware of the reason behind the shooting nor the persons responsible for the shooting.

"A shooting took place in the Mulleriyawa Police Division a short while ago, both civilians and politicians are among the injured and they have been rushed to hospital".

When asked as to who was responsible for the shooting Proctor said, “It’s too early to tell, we will be conducting immediate investigations to ascertain who was responsiblefor the shooting." (Hafeel Farisz)
