The Ministry of Defence and Urban Development said six Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP) were today promoted to the post of Deputy Inspector General (DIG).

Those promoted to the rank of DIG are: J.C. Proctor, K.S.B.R. Dias, P.J.K.S.W. Wickremesinghe, T.B. Samsudeen, B.K.A.H.P. Mathurata and U.K. Dissanayake.
