Six Indian and 12 SL fishermen released

Sri Lankan Coast Guard (SLCG) yesterday handed over six Indian fishermen and two fishing trawlers to the Indian Coast Guard off the coast of Kankesanturai, SLCG spokesman Rohan Joseph said.

He said it coincided with the release of 12 Sri Lankan fishermen and their two trawlers which were under the custody of the Indian Coast Guard.
Spokesman said the fishermen were exchanged at the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) off Kankasanthurai. (Pix by Sri Lankan Coast Guard)
