Former Army Commander and Democratic National Alliance Leader Sarath Fonseka today invited Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayake to step into active politics stating that he was willing to support her in such an event.Prasad Friday, 21 December 2012 04:14 AM
JVP & UNP ruined the life of SF by dragging him into politics simply to achieve their own political agendas. And look what happend..!!! SF turned into an absolute "political comedian" from an overnight "national hero" in no time...!!! Had he been wise enough to refrain from entering politics, he would have been able to do a better job as a diplomat (such as Gen Shavendra or Adm Sadagiri)...SO PLS MADAM - DO NOT ENTER POLITICS...!!! THAT WOULD BE THE END OF YOUR CREDIBILITY AS THE LADY WHO ACHIEVED A LOT IN HER CAREER BY BECOMING THE CJ AND DID SO MUCH TO CREATE A JUST SOCIETY...!!!!

It may be true that SF has no regrets in entering politics, but most of SL people do. And the only thing our people don't regret is not making him the president. SF seems losing his head in the very eyes of many people who once loved him, but he has now chosen a path not to be loved by any.

I knew when the drama started with coconut dashing that same old circus with a another clown. So it started with a guy(hero) and to act the real drama a girl( female character)needed for the heroine part. This is very funny! Script must have written by US, NGO I suppose. CIA is capable of even making a man a woman.

She must enter politics and definitely she will end up in jail, then only she will realise and know how the SF case was manipulated and the decission by the SC.

He is trying to ruin her too! She will be better off is she stays out of politics. In Sr Lanka only the thugs rule! So keep off them. Recent;y Minister Mahinda Yapa said that indisciplined politicians are also required to avoid a situation like in Libya, Egypt ans Syria. Interesting ! In these three countries dictators rules with iron fist for decades and the popular uprisings ejevted them from power. Is Minister Yapa thinking of such a dictatorship arising in Sri Lanka under MR and therefore keeping indisciplined Politicians like Mervyn to prevent a popular uprising by his thuggery??

I believe a lady of her stature is not suited in politics, it's just another lost cause which will ruin her good nature. I'm suprised that Fonseka after his own experience suggests this!! Fonseka was low on his tactical approach, he was fooled into a 'dead-end' by some MP's with vested interests and thereby lost his good name and respect too. Ms. B should not take such a stupid decision!!

Fonseka is a dud coin now. He did not have any faith in CJ earlier now he worships her. He can use CJ to handle his bank accounts as well as his dealings are also under investigation . If not for Mahinda who appointed him army chief, Fonseka would be catching Thelapias in the Beira lake.BASL President is a disgrace to all the legal fratanity in SrLanka. He is a UNP MP out to embarrass the Government through the BASL. Heis a traitor. He should be thankful to the President who rid this country from terrorism which made it possible for him to hold street demonstrations and dash coconuts in places of religious worship. The Chief Justice is also a shameless woman trying to hold on to her position after being found guilty of misconduct . All those who support these traitors are themselves traitors. If not for Mahinda these traitors will be pulling rickshaws with the Sun God Prabakaran seated in the rickshaw.

General, I have always appreciated your views, but I think this is not a correct one.
The Chief Justice should well be where she is now. She is a strong personalty and I feel that pulling her into politics would only ruin what she has got.
No doubt, her integrity and honesty will see that she remains in the position as Chief Justice.
What I cannot understand is, if the Government appointed her knowing of her credentials, how come now they seem to be wanting her to quit. Impeachment they say.

This is to the Hon. Chief Justice!
You have maintained the dignity of your parents and family tradition being an honest official at the very top of the judicial system in Sri Lanka. Please do not go after such invitations to get yourself into politics. If you decide to accept the invitation or even to respond to this man's talks, you will ruin your credibility.
Just ignore this man. Your way of handling matters are par excellence.
