SC dismisses Vass appeal

A five judge Supreme Court bench including Chief Justice Mohan Peiris today dismissed an appeal filed by former DIG Vass Gunawardena and five others against the Colombo High Court Trial-at-Bar.

 

The Supreme Court rejected bail for all the accused and directed the Colombo High Court to continue Trial-at-Bar proceeding on a day-today basis without delay. (Lakmal Sooriyagoda)
