Rathupaswala temple Chief Incumbent Ven. Theripehe Siridhamma Thera, who was reported to have gone missing yesterday held a media conference in Gampola saying he was not a traitor as termed by certain individuals.

He said on October 10, a committee comprising some villagers, the police and factory owners reached an agreement to close down the factory after six months and also to provide pipe-borne water to most of the villagers. He said it was agreed with the approval of all the participants.

He also said that according to the factory owners, the factory earned some 10 million rupees a day as foreign exchange.

He also said he would remain in silence and the people of Sri Lanka will come to know the reality and his action for the benefit of the people and the country. (Suranga Rajanayake)

During the protest time this individual and the villagers demanded that the factory should be closed down.But yesterday he himself told that he never asked the Factory should be closed.

Has he been threatened or has he followed the path taken by the authorities when they said Milk Powder contained DSN or whatever at one time and sometime later they said Milk Power was free of that. It was obvious that money in millions made the change.
