Before blaming others first the parents of her should be held responsible, instead sending the her, the mother should have gone as house maid. Even when she was in jail, the parents were enjoying their life and the mother gave birth to another child.

I am a muslim , but ashamed of these wahabi Saudi s , if rizana had a british or american passport she woukd have been above this so called saudi law,, which is not a true sharia law,, true shari alw would have given Rizana proper legal representation and also a decent translator and made the trial very fair,,,shame on you Saudis ,,,, the Saudi sposored "riyal" Mowlavis wil not speak out against them

Unlike our country, in Saudi Arabia even the King can not interfere in Judicial system, so it is not wise to blame the King, it was the mistake of the Judges who gave the verdict rushing without looking into the case deeper and with one sided arguments, secondly the total negligence of our Embassy, not provided proper legal support to the victim. Rest all political drama carried by our ruling part to grab some votes from eastern province and still continuing for publicity using the poor girls name.

Let someone accept the money on the parents' behalf and put it in an honest fixed deposit yielding monthly income. If they do not want to use it themselves (and why should they not? it is what she would have sent them anyway if she had been working and living) they can put it towards a memorial in her name. I would suggest a school in their area bearing her name and teaching its pupils about her life and all the implications of this tragic case. Maybe set up a scholarship for a Mulsim girl from Muttur to study law to help her people. So many possibilities. Stupid to just reject it. Clearly some people in Saudi Arabia feel ashamed and unhappy about this execution.

Ma Ra and his bulls were busy in the process of sacking the CJ. Where did they have time to save a poor woman's life. Hope at least this money will go to the family. Another innocent life is lost. May the Lord bless her soul.

God only knows how the kid has died, but the mistake is of few parties, Kids Mother, according to Islam she have to breast feed the baby at least for two years if I’m not wrong, Meantime officials who helped making a fake Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka's passport, also the Sri Lankan Embassy in Saudi Arabia, who failed to provide with proper legal consultancy, Rizana's parents for sending a child abroad for cheap money. According to Saudi.. Rizana killed a Local baby & paid the price. now a pious gentlemen came forward to help rizana's family with 1 million, that is an act of charity only. he have nothing to do with the execution.

A real shame on we all Sri lankans. So the suudis think that they can give some money and get a way with it! The money should have come from our greedy politicians who has created the poor economic situation in thi country that make people like Rizana to go overseas !!
I think the saudi's are so sacred now thinking we might recall all are housemaids ( Modern day slaves ) fron Saudi! If this happens, there will be chaos there as 500,000 saudi homes will hv to do their own house work for a change!!
