Restraining orders issued against demonstration in Colombo today

The Colombo Magistrate’s Court yesterday issued restraining orders on the Thowheed Jamath, Bodu Bala Sena and Sihala Ravaya organisations preventing them from holding demonstrations and protests in Colombo and the Colombo Fort area today, police said.

“The court order was issued by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court following information given by the Colombo Fort police that demonstrations were planned for today by the Thowheed Jamath, Bodu Bala Sena and Sihala Ravaya organisations,” Police said.

The restraining orders are to be handed over to the leaders of the three organisations. (Chaturanga Pradeep)

Well considered order by the Magistrate court. Let this order prevail all over the Island as we do not need these type of demonstrations in any part of this country by anyone, be it Hindus, Muslims or Buddhists. Let us solve our problems thru Courts.

We should understand one thing, this demonstration is not for BBS or any other. This is for Palestine, innocent people are being killed. so as an humanitarian way they voice the world for justice for these innocent people. Because human are being killed worse than animal by ISRLE nowadays. why international community is silent and why finger pointing only on sri lanka matter? This is the idea here. Even JVP ALSO did this, even thawheed jamath they clearly mentioned in the site also

All types of communal protest should be banned and even those that disrupt the smooth flowing traffic. V need to move out of this protest thinking and march towards prosperity of our nation just as v had in the past 80's era'. What a wonderful time v had with friends of different of communities.

When UK Tamil supporting Terrorist LTTE and protest against SL what You and me feel same today Israel feel when this groups are protesting supporting terrorist Hamas. now they will say they are talking about palatine. can anyone talk about palatine without talking about Hams? funny.... why no protest again ISIS killing? they do killing Muslims and others more than Israel.
