Police said today that Rallies, which would create ethnic or religious hatred, would not be allowed in the future.

Police Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana announcing the decision to ban such rallies, urged the people not to participate in such rallies.

He said legal action would be taken against those who participated in such rallies.

He said the decision to ban rallies was made after the Police received information that one group had organised protests tomorrow. (Darshana Sanjeewa)
