PS member arrested over fraud

A Hingurakgoda Pradeshiya Sabha member was arrested at Arangala last night on charges of having sold vehicles using forged documents in Mirihana, Mount Lavinia and Kandy.

Police alleged that at the time the PS member Bandula Wickramaratne was arrested he had in his possession eight vehicles which were also seized.

Meanwhile the Police had arrested another suspect at Katuwawala in connection with this fraud. At the time he was arrested he had a hand grenade in his possession.    (SD & LSP)
